The presentation of the 2019 AIPC Innovation Award candidates was accompanied by a Pecha Kucha presentation and poster session for entries and an opportunity for members to vote for their own choice as to the best innovation alongside the selection made by the formal Award judges based on a detailed analysis of entries. As a result, there were two awards made from the wide range of projects submitted for consideration:
The Overall 2019 Innovation Award was made to the?Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre??for The Hive, a new type of meeting environment. The Hive is an 865m2 innovation lab style, creative space designed to stimulate creativity, generate ideas and build connections. The Hive enhances the benefits of face-to-face engagement for its clients and encourages collaboration.
The 2019 Delegate's Choice Award was made to?the?Cape Town International Convention Centre for their commitment to sustainability as a core business ethic when experiencing one of the worst droughts. The CTICC successfully implemented?sustainable solutions.
The 2020 AIPC Innovation Award will be held in conjunction with the 2020 Annual Conference in?Kuala Lumpur.
